The Beautiful Strange

The Beautiful Strange

A lot of people don’t understand why we write.

There are many reasons, of course, but explaining it can get a little complicated; a little too personal and sometimes, a little too honest.

Borrowed silence, a poem

They say
that I liked it
because I liked
him

They say
that I
wanted it
because

say
that
I let him
because
I didn’t
say
no
enough times
to
mean
it

So when I share
that status
they’ll say
nothing at all
because
that hashtag
is enough
of a label
to cross
