Borrowed silence, a poem

They say
that I liked it
because I liked
him

They say
that I
wanted it
because
of the way
I was
with
him

They
say
that
I let him
because
I didn’t
say
no
enough times
to
mean
it

So when I share
that status
they’ll say
nothing at all
because
that hashtag
is enough
of a label
to cross

— I’m taking my silence back
